Dear NoBeds,

yesterday night we performed a full check on the calendar and reservations noticing several potentially dangerous situations. Most of the them appear sourcing from the process of import from the OTA. Nervously we fixed everything manually immediately, now we try going though those by memory for your deeper analysis.

(1) Listing with quantity crazily high (!)

Date: October 7th and 8th

Listing: Yotsu Tsuta (1)

OTA: Booking.com

Problem: the quantity of the listing was something like 460 (or around) units. The physical availability is just 1. We have no idea that quantity what came from.

(2) Listing with multiple reservations (overbooking) quantity 0.

Date: multiple dates

Listing: Yotsu Tsuta (...)

OTA: Booking.com, Expedia (actual case of overbooking on May 17th because we have no more availability)

Problem: We found several dates were listing of quantity 1 had multiple reservations. The overall final quantity was zero and not negative. We could manually fix the situation moving one of the reservations on a different listing of the same type and correcting the quantity.

(3) Double reservation on NoBeds calendar, single reservation on the OTA

Date: May 19th, Aug 11th

Listing: Ume Tsuru (single room), Gomai Sasa (single room)

OTA: AirBnb

Problem: we have listings (private single room) with a double reservation (they looks like pretty much identical) sourcing in a single reservation (same code) from the OTA. The listing quantity is zero and not negative.

We wish you to consider quickly these situations because they dangerously can be potential leading to situation of overbooking, that's always one of the most delicate (and potentially expensive) problem to deal with.
